Where to buy living room furniture on budget?
I am going to medical school and am buying my first condo. I have saved substantially for this moment, but I am by no means rich. I will be renting out a room in the condo to pay the billls. The point is, I don't have a lot of money. Where can I buy living room furniture on a budget? I've tried rooms-to-go. Any other suggestions??

- got to the steinhafels outlet or go to target or ashley furniture sales/ clearance you really just have to keep an eye out for good deals find out from your family if they have stuff you can always just recover them if you dont like the materials you can always find something that doesnt look appealing right away and make it your own and to fit your style hope i helped vote for me for best answer
- Ikea has some really cool furniture that's really cheap. Also try furniture stores, I got mine it was last years model, looked just like the new ones except for a few details so I got it for $300 instead of $800.
- Ikea often has very cheap but good and fashionable furniture. You could also try a local Salvation Army thrift store or one run by a similar charity. Certain pieces can be got on the cheap from places like Target - they may not sell couches and armchairs, but they have cheap and durable coffee tables, shelves and TV stands. I'd also suggest yard sales and a local classified ad section, and asking friends if they have any furniture to get rid of. Look also for estate sales.
- Have you tried Craigs List? In our area I have seen some nice stuff up for sale and also check the free section as some people just give their gently used furniture away when they get new. You could also look in your area for consignment shops that sell used furniture. Never pay full price. Good luck on your new place.
- You can buy and get vouchers in some cases. If you are flood or fire victim or previously homeless, Go to the Salvation Army in your area and get a voucher for furniture. Then if buying go to these thrift stores and look for pieces to supplement what you have. My whole house is early American Rummage Sale. America is a land of milk and honey. It is also full of places like www.craigslist.com So look in you area on line under the For Sale: FREE...listings. You may just have to bring home goodies. Also check bulletin boards at grocery stores and little restaurant diners and laundromats.
- Auctions.. I live for them.. you can find some really good bargins there..
