where is a great place to buy bedroom furniture?

my boyfriend and i are planning to purchase all new bedroom furniture soon. we are getting a high quality king size mattress and want a nice bedroom set to go with it. any suggestions on where to look? we want really high quality because we hope this set will last for many years!

3. Well, I don't know where you live, but if you're in the US near the SF Bay Area or Baltimore, check out Restoration Hardware warehouse sales. Sometimes they have brand new furniture marked down a little bit, and sometimes they have furniture that just needs some love cosmetically (but is still all-wood) for pretty darn cheap.

5. go to IKEA! they have the best modern furniture at good prices!!! its really great! thats where ive gotten my furniture!!! they have so many great ideas there on how to make your whole house look great!!!

7. It isn't so much where you shop----it is what you buy. You need to be asking "What furniture manufacturer builds the best furniture and where can I buy it?" I like "Hooker Furniture" because it is well built and reasonably priced. http://www.hookerfurniture.com/index.cfm/furniture/furniture-catalog.show-bedroom-furniture.cfm But shop around because the same furniture is sold for vastly different prices. It would be helpful to know what part of the country.
