- what about a deep deep yellow? like mustard. that is the color of my kitchen and my dining room table/chairs are merlot color and look great
- beige with red carpet and red curtains
- A contrast colour would be good. Cream is a safe bet as you will have red furniture and then pick out the red in a picture or something around the room. I have deep red walls and cream furniture goes really well with them. All a question of taste. Get some tester paints and try them on the wall first.
- I have red couches as well, and my walls are just white. Although, I have a lot of decor that is black and white Damask on the walls to offset the plainness. It all depends on what your decor theme is going to be I'd say....do you know what you're going to shoot for exactly?
- a deep beige or a khaki color looks really good with red furniture.
- Red and green are complimentary colors. That does not mean christmas green, but a shade of green. Wild aspagagus green is a lovely light color that would bring out the best in your furniture.

- play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours: http://www.sherwin.com/visualizer/ I think a green like "picnic" (# 6731) would contrast the red & make it POP! You can take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website: http://www.roomvues.com/ You can get color suggestions & for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.
